Thank You Dinner for the Keeles & Halls

After years of service to Residence Life at BYU, Darren and Melanie Keele, and Debi Hall are taking their families and moving on in life. The Keeles head off to Indiana as Darren begins graduate work at Notre Dame. The Halls are moving into their own home in Springville Utah. They will be deeply missed by all who have had the opportinity to associate with them. Personally, my life has been changed and touched by Darren and Melanie who have been my Hall Advisors for the last three years. They have mentored me, helped me, cared for me, and loved me. They have taught me how to care for other people to a degree greater than I had previously known. They have done so much for Budge Hall, and for the individuals who have lived there. They have taught me what it means to be a leader, and have shown me how to lead with love.

Debi has also been an inspiration to me, and a pleasure to work with. She has helped motivate me to be a better person. Her vision, and her ability to convey that vision to others has changed the way things are done in Residence Life here at BYU. Her personal concern for others has blessed and changed lives.

Though the Keeles and the Halls will leave a void at BYU, my heart is full of love and joy that I have had the opportunity to know them and their families, and to consider them friends.

In light of their departure on the 28th and 29th of July, Rachel Morris and Robert Husted put together a presentation of thoughts, pictures, and memories and presented it to the Keeles and Halls over dinner on July 26, 2006 in the Cannon Center. These are a few pictures taken at that time.

Please be sure to check out the movie clips that go with these pictures. They also capture some good times. :o)
